Laura Hamer is a British musicologist and pianist. She completed her undergraduate studies in music at Brasenose College, Oxford Univeristy in 2004 before studying for a MA in musicology, for which she received a distinction, at Cardiff Univeristy. She is currently researching a PhD on twentieth-century French women musicians at Cardiff Univeristy for which she spent a year undertaking archival research in Paris. In addition to her musicological activities she performs regularly and is a holder of the LRSM in piano performance.
